Meagan's Art Gallery
All forms of art have the same purposes, to be an expression of the artist and to be providing something for the viewer of the work of art. Whether it is a handmade scarf, monumental fresco, or graffiti, the artist is trying to portray a message for others to interpret and receive something in return. Italy is known as one of the great centers for art, as the art ranges from B.C. architecture, Michelangelo’s statues, and to Raphael’s Rooms in the Vatican; but it is also known for its more individual art, such as glass blowing and hand crafts, all of which are intricate art forms.
In Italy, many forms of lifestyles revolve around the art and what the artist can bring to the different works of art. Such things as the art of glass blowing and weaving at a loom, are often overlooked because of their minimal size; however, both of these are intricate expressions of the artist and require years of training for perfection. These types of artists are trying to provide items for their customers to purchase and to bring that expression of their passion for their work into the customers’ homes. While much larger art expression, such as fresco’s, may reach a larger audience, as millions of people are able to view them, they do not impact a person the same way as an item that they may purchase and give to a loved one, or use in their own home. Even though individual people are not able to own and treasure massive frescos, they are still able to appreciate the impact that these works of art have on millions of people as they are able to view and interpret what the artist was feeling or portraying.
Fresco’s tend to have a natural sense of order as the artist is trying to get a certain idea across to their audience, but art expressions, such as graffiti tend to loose order. Even though the order is often lost in graffiti, there is a sense of passion that is portrayed as the artist conveys their feelings through writing, or drawing, on walls in a certain manner. The medium of graffiti is very different from that of any other art expression, as the artist/s can implement the surrounding environment into the art and create an ultimate expression of their passions. Observing These many ideas that are so loudly expressed through the artist’s work can provide to be an inspiration for others to search themselves for what it is that stirs and emboldens them to lead their lives.
